    Frequently Asked Questions

What type(s) of massage do you offer?

While all therapists at Precision Healing have extensive training in many modalities (types of massage), our approach to massage is not modality based. Instead, we focus on integrating all of skills needed to help reduce your pain, decrease your stress, and increase your flexibility (if needed).

With this said, all therapists at Precision Healing are trained in NeuroMuscular Therapy, Deep Tissue Massage, Pregnancy Massage, Myofascial Release, and Swedish Massage. For motor vehicle accidents we provide medical massage.

    Do you offer couples massage?

We can see 2 people at time, but not in the same room. It is easiest to call or text 503-477-2463 if you want to schedule 2 or more appointments at the same time.

    Can I just relax?

Of course! Ideally your massage should feel therapeutic, but should also be relaxing. Our work is typically firm and focused. “No pain no gain” usually isn’t an approach that we support unless it falls into that “hurt so good” massage realm.

Let your therapist know what style / depth of work you like, and they will be happy to do that as long as it is safe and beneficial.

What should I wear to my appointment?

In the average session clients dress down to underwear (no bra). You will be very safely and comfortably draped with a sheet and blanket. However, we are comfortable working with fully clothed clients if that is your comfort level.

If you would like your session to be more interactive (less relaxing but potentially more productive) bring shorts and a sports bra so we can more assessments throughout the session.

How do I make an appointment?

The best and easiest way is to use our online scheduler to book your appointment.

Alternately, you can get in touch by phone at 503-477-2463, or use the form under the contact page.

What does the “assessment process” involve?

Assessment is the way that we collect information to help us “solve the puzzle” that you present to us.

The intake form that you fill out is what stimulates and guides our initial assessment. The assessment process may only include conversation, or may also include the use of standard orthopedic assessments that may help to reveal the source of your condition.
This process usually lasts between 1 and 10 minutes depending on your needs.
